Shell Creek Cattle Company, located just outside Fairfield, Texas, has been raising purebred Brangus cattle since 1995. We started raising Brangus in order to develop superior genetics that work well in a commercial setting.  

Our focus in on maternal side genetics, selecting cattle only from solid pedigrees that exhibit reliable performance qualities. We then use only our very best bull offspring to further spread our superior female genetics.  

Here at SCC, we put a large emphasis on our herd sire prospects development. Our bulls are developed on open grass pastures with a daily feed supplement, as opposed to free-choice feed. This is done in order to develop our bulls at a slower pace. We believe this is necessary to better adapt our bulls to real world conditions that are faced while in the breeding pasture. Our goal is to produce bulls that are moderate in frame with heavy muscling, plenty of guts, and lots of bone.
